I am constantly amazed at God’s hilarious sense of humor! I had a dream last night where I saw the daughter of an evangelist friend trying to juggle yellow tennis balls. What could that mean?
Later on in the day, I was watching an episode of Star Trek called The Trouble With Tribbles. The starship Enterprise was overrun by cute, furry, round creatures called Tribbles. These cuddly animals would multiply quickly and profusely when they were fed.
In the show, Mr. Spock makes this statement: “They remind me of the lilies of the field. They toil not, neither do they spin. But they seem to eat a great deal. I see no practical use for them.”
It was then that I remembered my dream about juggling the yellow tennis balls. God was saying, “THE TENNIS BALLS ARE THE TRIBBLES”.
In his hilarious way, God was telling me not to worry about my food and clothing. God feeds the birds of the air and clothes the lilies of the field. God will feed and clothe me through faith in his provision.
I have nothing to be tribbled…uh…troubled about.
